I like to paint flowers

My mother loved to garden. Growing up and helping her plant flowers in our yard, I learned the names of flower varieties. As an adult, I’ve grown many kinds of flowers; some were successes and others were disappointments. Photographing beautiful flowers during my travels around the world, and attempting to paint them from my photographs brings me joy and pleasure, even if they’re only my impression of what I see.
